Lisa Ridgers was born in Shoreham-By-Sea on England's South Coast in September 1968. She spent part of her childhood living on the quaint island of Majorca in the Mediterranean Sea.

For as long as Lisa can remember, the passion to create has always been with her. She began expressing this passion with drawing and sketching, and found herself selling her pencil sketch portraitures when she was only thirteen years old.

Finishing her education in the United Kingdom, Lisa came to the United States as a "true-to-life Mary Poppins" English nanny. Her earned B.S. Degree in Finance and her inherent artistic ability became the perfect combination for a full-time creative career

Lisa has developed her own unique style using acrylic paints together with a range of mediums and techniques that, by their very contradiction, create a harmonious, fresh look. Ridgers' multimedia works have been described as a fusion of bold organic palettes and natural elements, with a subject matter ranging from contemporary minimalist representations to vivid and earthy abstract landscapes.

Lisa has had numerous solo and group exhibitions, and her work can be found in both corporate and private collections in Europe, Canada and the United States.

Personal Statement

"My passion for travel and the diversity found in nature and different cultures inspire me. I feel that if I can fuse the simplicity of our earth's gifts together with a contemporary twist that I have created an abstract reflection of our world for others to enjoy."

Fun Fact

Lisa originally came to the U.S. as an "English nanny" with a family that had six children!
